Kristine Tremble – President
Kristine Tremble has been affiliated with the Blue Water Human Resource Association for 15+ years. Prior to her 10 years as President of the organization, she served on the board as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President. As a professional working in the City of Port Huron, Kristine is passionate about having a strong organization in St Clair County that can provide resources to individuals that are either in the role of Human Resources, or manage small companies and are responsible for HR activities such as hiring, benefits, compensation, coaching and development for their teams. The Blue Water Human Resource Association provides members a local alternative for education and networking.
Kristine has been working in the Human Resource profession for 25+ years. Her experience includes roles in the government, manufacturing and financial sectors, and she has been working as an HR Business Partner for a local bank for 10 years.
Kristine received her Bachelors of Business Leadership, and Masters of Business Administration from Baker College. In addition to her position in Human Resources, Kristine taught at Baker College Port Huron until 2018, with subjects that included, training and development, performance management, data analytics, and employment law.
Brent Gillette – Vice-President
Brent Gillette was a resident of the Muskegon County, growing up on a farm in Fruitport Township and graduated from Fruitport High in 1977. In 1978 Brent was employed at Sealed Power Corp. and became a member of UAW Local 637. Where he held many elected positions, representing
over 1500 workers/members.
He moved to Sullivan Twp., just outside of Grand Rapids to start his family
in 1981. In 1984 Dana Corp/Sealed Power Corp. and the UAW promoted him to the
Employee Assistance Program Director /Community Service Chair for all the division’s salary & hourly employees. In 1990 he was selected to represent Working families at United Way of
Muskegon as the Labor Liaison. During this time Brent explored many leadership positions such as Fund Development Officer and County Campaign Director.
In November 2014 at age 55 he retired but stayed very involved with
Community activist for better economic opportunities and issues affecting
worker’s families in west Michigan. In April 2016 Brent decided suspend retirement and agreed to staff two departments (Campaign & Labor) for the United Way of St. Clair Co.
Brent accepted the Executive Directors position at United Way of St. Clair Co. in 2020.
He is married to Tammy and in July celebrated 44 years together; they have
four grown children, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Scott Liebold – Secretary
Scott Liebold began his professional career journey in the credit union industry. After working for 3 credit unions Scott served multiple credit unions in Southeast Michigan as vendor delivering insurance, lending and sales training. After managing a credit bureau Scott delved into the mortgage business working for mortgage funding companies and serving mortgage brokers. When the mortgage business took a sharp decline in 2009, Scott reinvented himself by moving into the staffing business. After working for 3 agencies Scott started his own Michigan Based LLC. He currently operates as a solo independent recruiter delivering skilled talent in the medical, manufacturing, financial, technology and other industries. Scott was married in 1997, he and his wife
Kris have a daughter who is just wrapping up earning her bachelor degree at MSU.
Carter Hitesman – Membership Chairperson
Carter Hitesman has been a member of the Blue Water Human Resource Association for over 15 years. Carter has served on the organization’s board for the past 11 years. Initially, as the Public Relations Chair and currently as the Membership Chair.
Carter has been working closely with Human Resource and Safety Professionals for over 20 years and has extensive knowledge of work-related health issues including workers compensation, substance abuse testing, medical surveillance and onboarding services.
Carter graduated from Michigan State University. In addition to the BWHRA, Carter is also active in the Port Huron Rotary Club, Port Huron Business Association, and the MI Works! Macomb/St. Clair Workforce Development Board.
